Curve Point Custom Creations was founded in 2003 by Oscar Duran as part of his life-long love of creating beautiful things.
Following a six-year tour of duty in the U.S. Army as a Mohawk OV-1D mechanic and Aviation Life Support Equipment Tech, Oscar worked four years at Canon selling copiers and facsimiles. At the same time, he took college classes in drawing and art. After Canon, Oscar spent four years working in sales and special financing for Nissan and Kia, while continuing to dabble in carpentry and art.
In 2003, he decided to make the leap into self-employment by offering basic box cabinet structures and general carpentry. Over the years, Curve Point’s services have expanded to meet the needs of customers, and Oscar has been thrilled at the resulting learning curve.
“After nearly two decades of learning about almost every aspect of my field, I can say I am continuously learning and growing in my craft, which is why I love every aspect of what I do.”
Oscar loves spending quality time with his wife Beth, children and grandkids. He also windsurfs, snowboards and has been a licensed private pilot since 2007.
“I have always felt if you have an interest or talent, do it and see where it takes you. You never know, it may be something you can earn a living at.”
